Based at the South-western tip of Africa close to Cape Point on the shores of False Bay, I have only to walk out of my front door to sit on the beach with the Penguins in the summer, or watch the Whales pass by in winter. 

The mighty Karoo and Northern or Eastern Cape are just a roadtrip away, and any pretext for a roadtrip is good in my house.
